We are very proud to be Cleveland County’s first staffing
firm, although that fact alone isn’t why we are so successful. “We
are not the best because we are the oldest, we are the oldest
because we are the best“ says Beverly Shuford, PSU’s
founder and Chairman of the Board. It has also been rewarding
working with my two sons, Tim Blackwell and Jay Berry, and have
them carry on PSU’s mission in my retirement.
Her vision of being thorough in screening and matching of candidates,
providing personalized service, dedication to staff training
and ethical business dealings laid the foundation of which PSU
has prospered. From our beginning in 1981 we have grown to three
offices with three divisions, Temporary Staffing, Professional
Search and Career Search Services. Specific services include
Temporary Staffing, Planned Staffing with on-site management
capabilities, Client Hire Program, Payrolling, Direct Placement,
Contract Staffing and Human Resource Administrative Support.
In that time we have served hundreds of clients and employed
thousands of candidates. Whether your need is for a group of
production workers, temporary administrative assistant, contract
engineer or full time plant manager, PSU delivers.
Ms. Shuford further states that it is our employess that really
differientiates us from our competitors. We are fortunate to
have knowledgeable and dedicated employees that strive to exceed
customer’s expectations. Six staff members hold the CTS
certification of the National Association of Staffing Professionals,
which required the passing of a 3 hour exam on employment law
and industry issues. One employee holds the certification of
Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW). Our experience and
reputation really counts when you need qualified
employees for entry level or executive and managerial positions.
