PSU is a second-generation, family-owned business founded in 1981 by Beverly Shuford.

In 1981, Ms. Shuford founded PSU on the principles of:

It is a plan that works. Our commitment to these principles has allowed us to prosper and grow for more than 40 years. Tim Blackwell, the son of Ms. Shuford, joined the firm in 1981 and became president after her retirement in 2000. Over the past four decades, PSU has grown to include three offices with two divisions, temporary staffing and professional placement. Specific services include temporary staffing, planned staffing with on-site management capabilities, temp-to-hire, payrolling, direct placement, contract staffing and human resource administrative support. Since our beginning, we have served hundreds of clients and made more than 50,000 placements!
